I am pleased to welcome you to the “Product History” category of Mascon. Here, I will share the stages of ideas, key moments in the creation of our products, what inspired them, and the connections that accompany them.

First, I would like to point out that, in addition to the meaning related to art, the visual appearance of the product, its character, and how it impacts the overall image play a key role for me. All Mascon products are created with a focus on ensuring that their form and character look stylish. Each shape is the result of careful selection, designed not only to harmoniously combine with others but also to create an image that is distinctive, meaningful, and stylish.

The second important component is the reflection of the connection with art. For example, I have a capsule inspired by world sculptors.

In time, I will share details about each product, along with stories, concepts, and how they can intertwine with your style, enabling you to find and create distinctive combinations for your image.

Thank you for being here. I believe that everything in the world is interconnected. Therefore, it is important for me to create pieces in which you can visually continue your story. Nice to meet you, Oleksandra!

PRINCES X

The sculpture Princess X is considered the most striking and controversial work of sculptor Brâncuși. Despite what it resembles, the artist claimed it to be a portrait of a woman looking into a mirror, stripped of any excessive feminine attributes. The inspiration for the piece was Princess Marie Bonaparte, whom Brâncuși regarded with a sense of irony.

In my opinion, a single detail can completely transform a look. It can reveal a lot about us, highlighting certain features or even changing the impression of the entire style.

This sculpture captivates with its boldness, especially when you know the story behind its creation. I love when a look comes together, playing with provocative yet refined accents.

That’s why I believe there’s nothing better for the Princess X piece than pairing it with a diamond necklace close to the neck. It’s the perfect combination!

WINGS

This ring was named “Wings”. This is a symbolic piece. It embodies the freedom of spirit and the boundlessness of the soul. The essence of this piece can only be truly perceived in motion, as it resembles the wings of a bird soaring through the air, revealing different perspectives from various angles. The primary view of this piece unfolds when seen from above. Additionally, due to its shape, the ring can also transform into a striking pendant.

The foundation of this piece is its distinctive, bold presence, with its primary angle being from above. From the side, it may not always be visible, and it’s this particular angle that defines its uniqueness. The piece is called “Wing.”

One of its key features is its thinness, which allows it to be easily combined with other jewelry. It pairs especially well with larger stones, creating a unique combination reminiscent of a cosmic object—a planet with its axis.

Bird in space

This sculpture is about light and movement. It has nothing to do with an authentic image of a bird; it is a reproduction of what we like about birds. The sculpture conveys the idea of flight and upward movement.

Constantin Brâncuși captivated my heart long ago, around 7-8 years ago, when I first visited his exhibition at the Pompidou Museum in Paris. His works struck me with their power, and I knew that this artist would stay with me for a long time.

I was particularly moved by the sculpture “Bird in Space.” Its elegance and unique character instantly caught my attention, and I felt the desire to incorporate its form into a piece of jewelry. This sculpture, unlike any other, brings sharpness and distinctiveness to an image, especially in the décolleté area. The piece’s essence lies in its elongated, upward-reaching form, embodying the ideas of lightness and aspiration. At the same time, it is its simplicity and sharpness that make it unique.

However, the challenge in designing and crafting this piece was due to its elongated and pointed form, which required special attention. As a result, the creation process took over six months, and we tested several mounting options to ensure its reliability. The jewelry piece is quite substantial, with a height of 8 cm, and it truly transforms the portrait area, adding a finished and profound look.

Ergo Congo

Laconic and timeless earrings combine the principles of the golden ratio and ergonomic factors when fitting on the ears. On the Ergo Congo earrings, the clasp is located in such a way as to cover the piercing, creating the most minimalistic and precision silhouette.

Ergo Congo earrings are crafted on the principles of harmony and minimalist forms. My goal was to make them look as understated and versatile as possible, almost blending into the space while serving as elegant accent details. The design is based on the principle that underlies all harmonious connections in nature, architecture, and art. This is the principle of the Golden Ratio.
